Regardless of what your faith background may be, nurturing your spiritual being is an important facet of your personal health.
I'm a Christian woman, wife, and mother, so I personally turn to Scripture for guidance and inspiration. Sometimes it feels like the world is crumbling around you, but maintaining hope and faith is important, otherwise you're just living in despair, and that's unhealthy.
For me, it's important to remember that there is a larger purpose to life and that He will be by my side through everything and that I can overcome whatever obstacle I'm facing. It just might not be in the way that I'm expecting.
So, no matter what your religious beliefs, open your ears, eyes, and heart to what your faith is telling you inside. And spiritualness doesn't necessarily have to involve a specific religion, so if you don't practice a religion, you too can search for that inner peace and find ways to nurture it.
Spiritual health is of prime importance to one's mental health.
